What doesn't Jax Malcolm do? That is the question. From a very young age, Jax has been extremely motivated, doing everything from acting, to philanthropy, to being a competitive swimmer on a Junior Olympian team.

Jax has garnered 10 awards for his visionary work (and even more nominations) and starred in roles on The CW's "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," FOX's "The Other Side of the Door," and FX's "The League." Jax also stars in the multi-award winning YOUTUBE series "Conservation Invasion" that teaches environmental stewardship to children. In between acting and posting popular TikTok videos, the young star found a few moments to chat with us on what he is working on now.

You dabble in almost everything the entertainment industry has to offer. How do you do it all?

Time management is key to making sure I can accomplish all of my goals. I plan out my days the night before and schedule everything, so I make sure I can get it done!

How are you so determined to succeed at such a young age? What keeps you motivated?

Goal setting makes a big difference for me. Have an idea, or a dream isn't enough to get going. Planning out what I want to accomplish and breaking those up into smaller and larger goals helps me stay motivated. Otherwise, big dreams can seem overwhelming and out of reach.

That's great advice! Speaking of dreams, from the big screen to our TV screens to even YouTube, what has been your favorite project thus far?

My favorite project so far has been writing my feature horror script, "The Listening." I have an auditory processing disorder that makes reading and writing more challenging for me. It was a project when I started that I wasn't confident that I could complete. However, I proved to myself that not only could I finish the script but also that it's well-received on the festival circuit. Among other recognition, "The Listening" has been selected as a semi-finalist at both New York Cinematography Awards (NYCA), and the Fantastic Indie Festival of Los Angeles.

We love that! You are also a dedicated philanthropist. Can you tell us a bit more about your work with different charities?

Philanthropy has always been an essential part of my life. Suppose you can do something positive for someone else you should. During normal times, I host an annual movie morning fundraiser to raise money for several organizations that I hold dear to my heart, including CHLA, Heal the Bay, and the Starlight Children's Foundation. I regularly work with SNPLA and St. Baldrick's to share their message on social media and support financially at their events.

You have hundreds of thousands of fans on social media and post regularly on Instagram and TikTok. Do you ever feel pressure to give your fans fresh content? How do you come up with ideas for videos?

I'm in Los Angeles, and we've been under stay-at-home orders for most of the time since the pandemic began, and while it's been difficult to be separated from my friends and family, it has given me time to focus on creating. I do a lot of research on the videos I want to make and don't share them until I feel like they're ready.

Between acting and social media, any new projects you are working on that you can tell us about?

I currently have several projects under NDA's that I cannot talk about, but I am taking meetings for funding for "The Listening" and hope to shoot it in early 2022.
