Caitlyn Jenner is speaking out about the ending of legendary reality TV show, Keeping Up With The Kardashians, and admits it was a total surprise to her.
Recently it was revealed that Keeping Up With The Kardashians will be ending after a 20 season run and 14 years on the air. The emotional announcement was posted to social media, signed by main family members Kris Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Scott Disick, and Kendall & Kylie Jenner.
Although on the show for years, Caitlyn (then-Bruce) was not informed the show featuring her daughters was being cancelled, E! Online shares.
"Nobody called me, I heard it through the media," the 70-year-old former Olympian explained in a new interview with Australia's The Morning Show. "Was I surprised? No, but that show...it's probably the greatest reality show in history."
The show documented many intimate moments involving Caitlyn, including her divorce with Kris Jenner, drama with the kids growing up, and part of her transition.
She went on to note that the series, which premiered in 2007, was originally picked up for just six episodes originally. "One camera, doing six shows," Caitlyn recalled. "We got about four shows in and then they ordered 12 shows and it went from there and it just seems like it never stopped."
"The girls have done and Kris has done just an amazing job with the show and keeping it going this long," Caitlyn said. "But kind of everybody is in a different place now and I think it's time to move on. What a run."
"Nothing lasts forever," she noted. "And shows do come and go, this one has by far done the best, I think, of any reality show in history. So at some point it's going to come to an end...I wasn't surprised, but I just am so proud of the kids for doing such a great job over the years. I mean, they did an amazing job."
