With lots of people turning towards music during this crazy time, we're highlighting five artists who are incredibly underrated, and deserve more attention! These artists are perfect to add to your quarantine playlist.
1) Catie Turner
This indie-pop singer-songwriter got her start on the American Idol reboot in 2018, and her quirky style & personality, along with her honest & relatable music, make her a must-listen-to artist. Turner released her debut EP, "The Sad Vegan," in June 2019 to critical acclaim, along with a pair of singles in late 2019.
2) Haley Reinhart
If you're a regular follower of our site (shoutout to you!), this one comes as no surprise. With a unique sound -- a mix of indie, rock and roll, pop, lo-fi beats, soul, and funk -- there is something for everyone. Her latest release, "Lo-Fi Soul," is her best musical work yet and is a necessity for your quarantine playlist. Her music video for "Honey, There's The Door," was featured on YouTube upon its release.
3) David Hugo
Recently featured in our Artist to Watch series, Hugo is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter with a huge following on social media. His most recent release, "Baby Blue" with Jades Goudreault will be your new favorite alt-pop collab.
4) Julia Cole
Nashville native and singer-songwriter Julia Cole is an up-and-coming country artist. She has opened for Dan+Shay, LANCO, Carrie Underwood, Kane Brown, and many other huge artists! As if releasing incredible music isn't enough, she is also an advocate for women's athletics, and brings music and athletics together via a movement called Women Sports Social. Her new single "Honey Child" is the perfect song to jam to in your bedroom, giving everyone the burst of positivity and self-love they need during this time!
5) Three Guests
This duo blends hip-hop, pop, and R&B sounds to make emotional, relatable, and ear-pleasing tunes. Three Guests is composed of two musicians, Jordan Rys (lead singer and songwriter) and Noah DeVore (DJ and pianist). The duo become friends through church.
Their name is Three Guests in order to encourage collaborations and demonstrate their faith. Their newest single, released in February, is called "Is It You?" and is painfully relatable for anyone who has had a crush on a friend, or was scared to make a move!
