Kim Carnes Celebrates Legendary Career with New 10-Disc Box Set 'Universal Songs'

Kim Carnes is giving fans a comprehensive look back at her incredible music career with the upcoming release of Universal Songs, a brand-new 10-disc box set arriving later this year.

Created with Carnes' full cooperation, the collection marks the first time her catalog has been gathered into a career-spanning box set, featuring every album she recorded for A&M, EMI America, and MCA between 1975 and 1988. The set also includes rare bonus material, unreleased-on-CD 12" dance mixes, and beloved collaborations with Barbra Streisand and Kenny Rogers.

Best known for her Grammy-winning smash hit "Bette Davis Eyes," Carnes built an impressive legacy as both a singer and songwriter long before the iconic 1981 chart-topper made her a household name. Throughout her career, she earned multiple Grammy nominations and wins, contributed to major film soundtracks, and penned hits for some of music's biggest stars.

The collection arrives in a deluxe rigid slipcase complete with replica album artwork, a 24-page booklet, a foreword from Carnes herself, and an extensive essay chronicling her remarkable career. For collectors, a limited edition run of 1,000 personally autographed prints will also be available.
