Actor and comedian, Kevin Hart, has sustained major injuries after crashing his car into a ditch!
Hart was driving his vintage car, a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, on Malibu's Mulholland Highway when he lost control of the vehicle and it veered off the road and into a ditch, according to E! News.
As of late yesterday, TMZ confirmed that Hart was not actually driving the car. His friend Jared Black was driving, with a female passenger. They were both trapped inside after the accident. It was reported that the roof had to be cut off. But where was Hart?
California Highway Patrol said that the comedian went straight to his nearby home to seek medical attention, and was later treated at the hospital for "major back injuries."
Police determined later that Black was not "under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision." There is no word on if the car was speeding.
Hart had just purchased the car as a birthday gift to himself in July. We're wishing all a 'speedy' recovery!
