Renowned Fashion Designer Behnoode Offers COVID Relief Grant for Creatives

Fashion designer Behnood Javaherpour launches initiative to provide funds for up to

20 creatives affected by the global coronavirus pandemic.

In a generous gesture, Middle Eastern designer Behnood Javaherpour is providing funds for up to 20 creatives affected by the pandemic through his foundation, Behnoode Foundation. This includes funding for fashion brands, fashion factory workers, tailors, retailers and other creatives in need of support, who have been sharing their stories on social media using #BehnoodeGivesBack.

The luxury fashion label, founded in 2005, exquisite tailoring of mens and womens suits and equestrian wear for his discerning clientele. Through collaborations with contemporary artists by incorporating their work into his designs as well as sharp tailoring and bright colors. Behnoode collections have won critical acclaim worldwide and have been featured across numerous fashion media including L’Officiel, Harpers Bazaar, and on Fashion TV.

Now as much of the world is suffering from the huge financial, emotional, and physical impacts from the Coronavirus pandemic, Javaherpour has stepped up to the task of helping those in the fashion industry that are most in need.

To be eligible to apply, creatives must submit an application request via his website. The hashtag #BehnoodeGivesBack has been created to help people share their stories with the designer on Instagram as to why they feel they need his help and support. He has pledged to personally read every single request and is open to contributing to those directly in need with an open mind and open heart. Applicants who submit requests will be subject to verification of their current status before grants are applied and sent out.

The famed designer shares, “Our collective efforts to save

those who have been affected by the crisis will contribute to the sustainability of our industry. Now it is time to act as one, a fashion industry that is united for the betterment of all”.
