David Archuleta just hit us with the second single from his upcoming EP, and let’s just say... the glow-up is real.

The former American Idol runner-up is slowing it down but still keeping things steamy with “Can I Call You,” a dreamy, late-night banger that feels like a grown-up evolution of the innocent heartthrob we met back in 2008. If you’ve been craving that crush-worthy, emotional pop from his debut album — but with a more mature, sexy twist — this is it.

“Crème Brulée” introduced fans to a bold and flirty Archuleta, and now “Can I Call You” is taking us deeper — emotionally and sonically. “It simmers from a sultry place following ‘Crème Brulée’ that I would say is more grounded,” David says. “It has a yearning romantic tone to it. The sweet side of David comes out in this song but still has those sexy undertones in it.”

Translation: He’s still got that puppy-love charm, but now it’s with bedroom eyes.

With vocals smoother than satin sheets and a melody that sticks with you, “Can I Call You” feels like a text you wish you got from your situationship at 1 a.m. It’s tender. It’s vulnerable. It’s hot.

David isn’t just giving us bops, he’s bringing them to the stage. He just headlined The Bellwether in LA last week with his “AFTERHOURS” concert experience — and Out Magazine couldn’t get enough. Up next? He’s hitting the biggest Pride stages around the country, performing at:

  • Pittsburgh Pride – May 31

  • Ty Herndon’s Concert for Love & Acceptance (Nashville) – June 2

  • Metro Ball (Dallas) – June 6

  • World Pride Music Festival (Washington DC) – June 7 with Cynthia Erivo

  • OKC PrideFest – June 27

  • St. Louis Pride – June 29

He’s booked and blessed — and the fans are living for it.

Plus, as if the original wasn’t hot enough, “Crème Brulée” now has a bold new remix from DJ Haylee Wood. That’s right — the sugar rush continues, but this time it’s ready for the club.

Between the steamy slow jam of “Can I Call You” and the sweet heat of “Crème Brulée,” David Archuleta is in his sweet spot (no pun intended). And if this is just the lead-up to his August EP? We’re not just calling — we’re begging for more.
