Shine Bright In These Top Looks This New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve is less than a week away, and if you’re anything like me, you probably still haven’t decided on what to wear this year. Honestly, it can be a bit stressful when it comes to picking the right pieces for standing out without coming across like you’re just playing dress up (well, maybe a little like you’re playing dress up). So, if you find yourself struggling, consider me your fairy godmother. I’ve handpicked some of my favorite clothes, shoes, and accessories to get you looking and feeling good and out the door before the ball drops. Check them out!

SURPRISE. Sequin heaven. What I love about this sequin dress is that it looks different from all of the usual ones you see on NYE. The stripe pattern gives it a bit of an edgier look, and come on, check out that sultry cowl neckline.

If you’re planning to hit the bars and clubs this NYE, you will definitely be seeing the mesh shirt trend making an appearance. One that has an extra detailing on top like this star pattern will set you apart from anyone else.

I have honestly seen so many bloggers wearing this exact skirt this season. I love the way it immediately draws your eyes to it. Perfect to add a pop of color, the black background of the skirt keeps it mature and flattering.

You can never go wrong with a classic black dress for the night. It actually might just be what makes you stand out among the crowd. This one is a little tighter at the waist and has a flare hem-line, giving it that extra shape for a flirtier look. When it comes to accessories for a dress like this, the possibilities are endless!

I just really love this simple white cami dressed up with the sequin texture. It’s a little more laidback and so easy to pair with a multitude of bottoms styles. This is also something you could wear out for a number of occasions, during any season.

The sequin pant is a MAJOR trend this NYE, and I highly recommend jumping on that bandwagon. This pair from Dillard’s are the first that I have seen in burgundy, and I. Am. Obsessed.

If you do not want to do the whole sequin-all-over-your-body thing, that is totally okay. Maybe you want to go for a more subtle look with a smaller pop of sparkle. A glam heel is always the perfect go-to. I especially love this black and gold contrast.

Another way to accessorize your look? The right bag, obviously. I am personally a huge proponent of a clutch for NYE. Remember, your bag should always compliment your look. Bold dress? Go for a more simple vibe. Modest outfit? Well, that’s when I love to bring out a bolder clutch like this one.

Any NYE needs the right jewelry. And that jewelry is more-often-than-not a statement necklace. The shinier, the better when it comes to dazzling up a more casual outfit

I don’t typically gravitate towards snake print pieces, but I am in love with these statement booties. They give off such a “chill” and edgy vibe that would seriously look sick in a bar on NYE.
