Venus Williams was involved in a automobile crash in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida on June 9th. Since then, the other car's driver, an elderly man, has passed.
Jerome Barson, 78, was driving westbound on the interstate when Williams entered an intersection abruptly and hit the man's vehicle. Barson spent two weeks in the Intensive Care Unit in Palm Beach due to extensive head trauma before passing earlier today.
Barson's wife was also hospitalized for injuries from the crash, but she was able to leave the hospital shortly after the accident.
Police reports indicate that Williams was the one at fault from the accident. TMZ reports Williams was violating the right of way for the other driver.
There is no word yet from Venus William's reps following the death of Jerome Barson.
